Based on 79,647 evaluations from more than 500 universities in Germany, this year's "StudyCheck Award" was given on January 18, 2023. As in the previous year, Chemnitz University of Technology was voted among the top 10 most popular German universities by users of the online rating portal StudyCheck.de. Chemnitz University of Technology thus received one of the ten StudyCheck Awards 2023 - combined with the certificate of Top University 2023. In the "Most Popular Universities" category, it landed in third place with a recommendation rate of 94 percent and a rating of 4 out of 5 stars, thus improving by one place compared to 2022. At the same time, it remains the most popular university in eastern Germany on StudyCheck.de. Chemnitz University of Technology also received a Category Award in the category "Most Popular Universities with 5,000 - 15,000 Students", as it also took third place in this category. Chemnitz University of Technology achieved these results based on the 295 testimonials published on StudyCheck.de by its students and graduates in 2022.

Currently more than four stars for "Library", "Study content" and "Lecturers"
Looking at the last three years, a total of 685 Chemnitz students and alumni registered on StudyCheck.de rated their studies very positively - especially in the categories of "Library" (4.5 out of 5 stars), "Study Content" (4.2 out of 5 stars) and "Lecturers" (4.1 out of 5 stars). In the top 5 ranking of Chemnitz study programs, Psychology, Educational Studies for Elementary Schools, Media Communication, Economics and Business Administration, and Education are currently in the lead.
Digital studies in Chemnitz rated very positively
StudyCheck.de continuously publishes a ranking of the level of digitalisation at universities. Chemnitz University of Technology currently takes the 6th place nationwide with a 4.11 star rating and the first place among universities (as of January 19, 2023). It thus carries the "Digital Readiness" seal within the StudyCheck.de portal. This live ranking can be viewed at https://www.studycheck.de/digital-readiness-ranking. Included in this special ranking are the universities with at least 250 published evaluations in the last 365 days and a rating of at least 3.75 stars for the criterion "Digital Studying".

StudyCheck is an independent evaluation portal that offers prospective students a decision-making and orientation aid within the German university landscape. For the StudyCheck Award 2023, a total of 79,647 evaluations from more than 500 universities and (technical) colleges were evaluated. The winners are determined by the students themselves: In the two categories "Most Popular Universities" and "Most Popular Colleges", the testimonials from the year 2022 decide the ranking. StudyCheck ranked all institutions according to a score value of a maximum of 10, which is formed from the two factors of star rating and recommendation rate. In their experience reports, students rate their university in the categories of study content, lecturers, courses, facilities, organization, library, and digital studying.
