IFE Applications

• APOLI:
  • The IFE application has been first released to support the APOLI project. The application acts as a post-processing application for videos captured during inspection flights.
  • Using feature-based and DL-based algorithms, IFE allows for an intelligent data processing that aims at the inspection of insulators for burnmarks.

• AFORI:
  • In the last years, the invasion of the European spurce bark beetle has had a devastating impact on German forests, including the forests within the state of Saxony. Lately, efforts are put by different authorities to stop the alarming spread.
  • Using DL-based algorithms, IFE allows for the localization of regions infected by bark beetles within Sachsen forests.

• CE:
  • IFE is also implemented to support students in the development of image processing algorithms.
  • Students can find a range of filters and can integrate their adopted approach within the application so it can be reused by future students.
