The Placement-test is to be taken before taking an English class for the first time. Usually the test takes place at the beginning of a semester some days before registration for the classes. For the Placement-test an online registration is required which sometimes is only possible before beginning of the semester.
Please take into account that the test is valid for 2 semesters. Therefore it’s not recommended to do the test if you are not planning to do an English class in the next two semesters.
Attention: After taking the Placement-test you’re not automatically registered for a specific language class. The Periods of registration can be found at the Foreign Language Centre.
The Placement-test is requirement for participation in an English class and serves to classify the students according to their previous knowledge. For that reason the module can’t be taken without taking the Placement-test.
From experience the offered language courses are booked out very fast. – Sometimes even within few minutes after start of registration. (0:00 on the first day of registration)
In case of a course already being full there’s the opportunity to sign in into a waiting list and to show up to the first lesson of the course. Often it occurs that there are still free places and you can take that automatically. Elsewise you depend on leftover free places. Students who have to take language courses obligatory are prioritised in the registration process. (See Registering). Therefore we recommend showing up to the first language class to claim your spot.
The internship has to be done prior to beginning of the studies. If that’s not possible you have to submit a proof for the internship not later than beginning of your 3rd semester. It is a requirement for the module BM 1.12 Manufacturing and Polymer Processing.
Yes this is actually recommended.
The 6 weeks of internship is supposed to give insight to practical basics of processing materials in industrial manufacturing. However the design of production processes can vary between companies. A distribution of the internship therefore enables a differentiated contemplation of the experiences.
However the occupation at a company shouldn’t be less than 2 continuous weeks.
For details can be found in the internship regulations..
That’s dependent if the internship matches the requirements set in the internship regulations.
More detailed information about the acknowledgment of internships is given by Praktikumsamt.
All Companies in which the required manufacturing processes (4.1) can be done. Therefore the company doesn’t have to be a part of the sports technology branch necessarily.
The company where the internship is done is responsible for the insurance.
No. The student is blocked for other exams until the application for the 2nd re-examination is approved.
Under certain circumstances yes. Therefore you have to make an application at the examination board. A Certificate of marks along with a description about range and content of the course about the completed studies is required.
With new study regulations no longer necessary.
