Course reserved collection – selected literature for a course
Conventional course reserved collections consist of media that your lecturer has compiled for a specific course from the library holding. These course reserved collections are stored in the library separately from the normal open access holdings. As a rule, they remain for one semester, sometimes even for several semesters.
The literature in the course reserved collection is so important that it is excluded from normal lending. If there is a book in the course reserved collection, you can see this in the record display in the catalog. Here you can also see which course reserved collection it is in. This is what it looks like:
The course reserved collection are also available electronically, where the lecturer can make his material available online. The learning platform OPAL, for example, is available throughout Saxony.
