Hackthon in Qatar (23.11.2024 - 28.11.2024)

The workshop kicked off at the University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST), Building 9, with a welcoming session where participants were introduced to the event's goals.

This was followed by an overview of past workshop highlights and the current agenda. After lunch, participants engaged in a networking session, fostering meaningful connections and discussions that set a collaborative tone for the week. The next day the participants then toured the advanced labs of the College of Engineering and Technology and the College of Computing and IT, gaining insights into cutting-edge technologies and research. Afterward, they reconvened for a productive discussion on workshop themes, concluding the day with a networking session to exchange ideas and establish professional relationships. The Monday, 24.11.2024 was centered around interactive sessions.

Participants delved into business model training, facilitated by UDST students and Dr. Markus Braun. Later, the workshop featured the first part of the Autonomous Driving Project presentation, showcasing innovative ideas and progress.The day concluded with a vibrant discussion and networking opportunities to encourage collaboration among attendees. Following day’s activities included hands-on drone testing, offering participants a practical experience in technology application. This was followed by an engaging presentation by Prof. Wolfram Hardt, who shared valuable insights into his expertise. After lunch, the second part of the Autonomous Driving Project was presented, continuing the exploration of groundbreaking advancements. Networking at the end of the day allowed attendees to discuss their learnings and connect further. In the Engineering Conference Room, participants attended a presentation by Dr. Nagi Abdussamie, where they explored new perspectives and ideas. Following this, a business pitch training session was conducted to prepare participants for the final day's competition. Discussions afterward enabled attendees to clarify concepts and refine their ideas, with networking rounding out the day’s activities. The final day, held at Building 33, Lusail Theater, began with a registration and welcome note, setting the stage for the much-anticipated business pitch competition. Participants presented their projects during two rounds of pitches, interspersed with a coffee break. Judges deliberated and announced the winners in a closing session filled with celebration and camaraderie.
